John Aäsp is a multimedia artist whose studio focus is video as post-photographic practice. His work is exhibited internationally.

His talks include The Electronic Image: the Crux of Television and Photography and Hindsight: the Moving Image and the Post-Photographic; he has presented to the Society for Photographic Education and recently to the College Art Association.

John is currently Director of Visual Arts at Rockport Center for the Arts on the Gulf Coast of Texas. He serves as co-director for the Rockport Film Festival, and is a contributor to Contact Sheet: the 2008 Light Work Annual.
